Clark, John (d. 1819)

Continental army officer.

Major in the Pennsylvania Battalion of the Flying Camp (1776). Served with distinction. Aide-de-camp to General Nathanael Greene (January 1777). Severely wounded in the right shoulder (summer 1777); retired from active service (January 1778).

Auditor of the Continental Army (1778-79). Also did intelligence work. Later married and settled in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, as a lawyer.
