Gaudin, Elizabeth

Widow of Philip Gaudin.

On the advice of Jane Mecom and Lois Killcup, applied to Franklin for help in recovering the money she believed due her from the U.S. government (1786). Applied to Congress for relief (1787); Benjamin Walker informed her that there was no record of Philip Gaudin having served in Hopkins‘s squadron unless he was the Philip Gordon who served on the Columbus and deserted in 1776. Applied to George Washington for relief (1789).

Resided in Boston.
