Sarah Parsons Dunn, wife of the Irish adventurer James Dunn (Jacques Bernard O’Dunne). Daughter of Humphrey Parsons, magistrate and lord mayor of London.

In February 1777, upon the recommendation of the abbé Morellet, her son went to London to serve as the French tutor to Lord Shelburne’s children. Shelburne sent him back only three months later without explanation.
