Friend of Charles Jackson, comptroller of the Foreign Office of the Post Office, and his wife. Arranged to have Franklin received at Whitehaven on his northern tour (summer 1772). Carried letters to Dublin for Franklin (April 1773).

Daughter of Samuel Martin, a Whitehaven merchant. Married Rev. Henry Blacker of County Tyrone (1773).
