Traded in partnership with his father and brother Henry (1750-58); Edmund was based in Portsmouth, N. H., while his brother remained in Boston and their father moved to Braintree. The firm went bankrupt through poor management (1758).

Son of Edmund and Elizabeth (Wendell) Quincy of Boston and Braintree, Massachusetts. Married Ann Huske.
