Aide-de-camp to Antoine- Charles du Houx, baron de Vioménil, in Rochambeau’s army. Emigrated (1791). Undertook an espionage mission on behalf of the Dutch Stadholder (1793).

Son of Louis and Anne (de Rougé-Rincent) d’Angély. Married Julie, baronne de Bodé in 1759; had issue.
