Daughter of Peter the Great’s ambassador to Vienna.

Her husband, Philibert Cramer (1727- 1779) was a Swiss diplomat and close friend of Voltaire. He accompanied Benjamin Franklin Bache during Bache’s trip to Geneva to attend boarding school.

Following Philibert’s death, Bache frequently stayed with Cramer in Geneva. Her son, Gabriel, was Bache’s schoolmate and lifelong friend.
