Arrived in France on the Alliance (March, 1781). Supervised his son’s move from Passy to attend school with Benjamin Franklin Bache in Geneva (March, 1781). Traveled to Nantes to conduct business (September, 1781).
Returned to the United States aboard the Favorite (May, 1782). Suffered various financial difficulties and was unable to pay his debts.
Father of Samuel Cooper Johonnot. Son-in- law of the Reverend Doctor Samuel Cooper.
