Loyalist army officer.
Commissioned in the First Battalion of Maryland Loyalists (1777); served in Florida and rose to the rank of major. Declined a regular British commission because he did not want to bear arms against fellow Americans. Naturalized as a U.S. citizen (1785).
Son of Walter and Mary (Grafton) Dulany of Maryland; nephew of the renowned lawyer Daniel Dulany, Jr. Married Elizabeth (Brice) Dulany (c. 1785).
