Adjoint-mécanicien of the Académie des sciences (1758); associé mécanicien (1768), pensionnaire (1770). Also, at various times, a royal censor and examiner of naval and artillery students. Author of Cours de mathématiques (4 vols., 1764-67), Cours complet de mathématiques (1770-72) (for artillery students), and several treatises on mathematical subjects.
