Wife of John Jay. Daughter of William Livingston.

Accompanied her husband while he served in Spain (1780-82), and in France (1782-84). There the Jays were socially involved with the Franklin household.

Married in 1774 to John Jay; had issue, including William and Peter Augustus Jay.
