Ship captain and warden of the port of Philadelphia.
Served in both the Pennsylvania navy and the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Commander of the Queen of France (1778), General Greene (1779), George (1780), and General Galvez (1781). Petitioned the Pennsylvania Assembly for back pay (1786).
