Prominent Pennsylvania Schwenkfelder.
Immigrated to Pennsylvania with his extended family (1734). Settled as a farmer in Towamencin Township, Montgomery County. Helped establish and administer Schwenkfelder schools in Pennsylvania. Contributed several hymns to the Schwenfelder hymnbook.
Son of Melchior and Maria Kriebel of Berthelsdorf, Saxony. Married Susanna Wiegner (1728); two children. Name also spelled “Kriebel.”
