Published political and economic pamphlets, including The Objections to Taxation of our American Colonies considered (1765), light essays and verse, and a popular tract on Christian ethics, View of the Internal Evidence of the Christian Religion (1776).
Son of Sir Roger and Elizabeth (Soame) Jenyns of Hayden, Essex. Educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge (1722-25; did not graduate). Married (1) his cousin Mary Soame. Married (2) his cousin Elizabeth Grey (1754). No issue.
