At the Request of your Son, I take the Liberty of certifying to you that his Conduct as an Inhabitant of this State has so recommended him to the Esteem of his Fellow-Citizens and of the Government, as that he has been first elected a Captain, and afterwards appointed and commissioned a Major in one of our Regiments of Militia and that I am informed the Lands he lately purchased on the West Branch of Susquehana, are in an improved and valuable Part of this State.
