George Hammond to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
Rue de Caumartin 4 oClock PM [c. October, 1783]
My dear Sir

To my very great surprize I have this instant received the Note which I wrote this morning to Mr Hartley, without the Parcel, addressed to Mr Grand, which should have accompanied it. Our Letters were sent this morning to the D of Dorset, and I presume the Messenger has left Paris; however you may be assured that I will acquaint you as soon as I hear of any Person who may be going to London

I am, with Compts to Dr Franklin and all your Family My dear Sir Your very obedt Hle Servt

G Hammond
