I recd. the Letter you did me the honour of writing to me the 31. July, requesting a Commission for the Privateer Vengeance. I do not recollect having receiv’d a like Application from you before. The Bond you inclos’d not being regular, I send one that is, by this Post, to Mr. Jona. Williams of Nantes; who on you and Mr. Penets signing it, will deliver you the Commission you desire, together with the necessary Instructions. Wishing you Success in your Cruize or Voyage, I have the honour to be, Sir, your humble Sert: &c. &. L.S. I return the Bond you sent me.
