The Volume of Philosophical Transactions which you have been so good as to Forward to me from the Society of which you Sir have the direction was receivd safe and presented as you desird to the Royal Society at their First meeting whose official Thanks will probably be dispatchd by the same Mesenger as brings this.

I am happy to inform you that the most perfect harmony has now taken place of the dissention with which the Royal Society was some short time disturbd on the two last St. Andres days the house lists of Council and officers have been voted intire without a single negative on any one of the whole number a circumstance of    which I never Knew happen the the Royal Society at any Former period of the time which I have belongd to it. I am Sir Your most Obedient and most Humble Servant
