The Petition of Benjamin Davis Junior of the City of Philadelphia

Humbly Sheweth

That your Petitioner being desirous to be appointed to the Office of Notary Public as he follows the Business of a Surveyor and Conveyancer and not doubting (should he succeed in his present application) but he will give Satisfaction to the Public in General in the Execution thereof

Therefore sollicits your Honors to appoint him to said Office, and your Petitioner as in duty shall Pray &c

We the Subscribers do Recommend to the Honorable Supreme Executive Council Benjamin Davis Junior the Petitioner as a person qualifyed to the Office of a Notary Public
