The Petition of Andrew Bunner of the City of Philadelphia Merchant, on behalf of himself and others creditors of John Perry and James Perry, now, or late of the County of Westmoreland Dealers and Chapmen Respectfully sheweth

That the said John Perry and James Perry using and excercising the Trade of Dealers and Chapmen by way of Bargain Exchange Rechange and Bartry under the name and firm of John and James Perry seeking their trade and living thereby, the said James Perry did on or about the nineteenth day of April last past become Bankrupt, and the said John Perry—did on or about the tenth—day of this present Month also become Bankrupt within the meaning of the Act of Assembly of this Commonwealth lately passed, entitled “an Act for the Regulation of Bankruptcy.” In tender consideration whereof may it please your Excellency to grant unto your Petitioner a Commission under the Great seal of the said Commonwealth to be directed to such, and so many Wise honest and discreet persons as to your Excellency shall seem meet, authorising them thereby not only concerning the said Bankrupts their Bodies Lands and Tenements Goods debts and other things whatsoever, but also concerning all other Persons who by concealment claim or otherwise do or shall offend touching the Premisses, or any part thereof, contrary to the true intent and meaning of the said Act of Assembly To do and execute all and every thing and things whatsoever as well for and towards satisfaction and payment of their Creditors as for and towards all other intents and purposes, according to the Ordinance and provision of the said Act of Assembly for the regulation of Bankruptcy.

Andrew Bunner, within named being duly sworn did depose and say that the within named John Perry and James Perry are jointly and severally indebted unto this Deponent in the sum of Two hundred pounds and upwards arising upon a transaction subsequent to the sixteenth day of September 1785, and that the said John Perry and James Perry are become Bankrupts within the meaning of the Act of Assembly passed on the said Sixteenth day of September 1785, entitled “an Act for the regulation of Bankruptcy,” as he is informed and verily believes, and further says not.
