From John Armstrong, Jr. (unpublished)
Tuesday 30th. Jany. 1787.
Sir,

I have the honor of informing your Excellency that the day after to-morrow is assigned for taking again into consideration the late Election for the County of Bedford, and to express the wishes of Council that your Excelly. would be pleased to signify whether upon that occasion, it would be most convenient for you to attend the board in their Chambers or to receive them at your House. I am Sir, with much respect Your Excellency’s Most Obedient servant

John Armstrong jr.

[In BF’s hand:] Sir, As the Weather at this Season is very uncertain, it may be inconvenient for me to attend the Board at the Statehouse on Thursday, and I shall esteem it a Favour if the Members shall please to meet for that day in my House. I am, Sir, with great Esteem Your most obedient humble Servant

BF

Addressed: His Excellency President Franklin
