Sunday April 16th 1787
Dear Sir

The Gardener saying he was in hast I would not detain him till Mr Pynes return, I am highly obliged in having the Notes discounted for us. The Jersey paper is forty one pounds five shillings but you have not deducted for the Boots & I have no hard cash by me therefore Mr Pyne must remain your Creditor till he sees you—am sorry I am obliged to say I have kept my Bed ever since my return till to day & Mr P is very indifferent I am dear Sir your Much Obliged humble Sert
