From Jean de Neufville & fils to John Paul Jones (unpublished)

Copy of a Letter (not dated) of Mr. J. De Neufville & Sons, to the honourable Commodore P. Jones.

Dear Sir,

We just receive a Letter from Mr. Parish, desiring us to speak to you about your 2 prizes carried into Norway, as he had been applied to from Coppenhagen, and believed restitution of their value might still be had from the court, he begg’d accordingly to know your resolution about them. This is exactly all he says. It seems strange to us. But if any man could do you Service in the matter, we are persuaded of his zeal. We shall be glad accordingly to receive your directions about this matter, in which expectation we remain respectfully &c.
