From David Barclay (unpublished)

Esteemed Friend.

As it always affords me Satisfaction to hear immediately from Thee, I embrace the opportunity of my worthy Friend Benjamin Chew to enquire particularly after thy Health; and as I have understood this Gentleman has been heretofore honoured with thy approbation in the line of his improvement in Electricity, I trust, his Company will not be less acceptable by my adding, that, I do not know a young man more deserving of Notice—I am Thy affectionate Friend

David Barclay.

p s. Our valuable Friend Thomas Collinson desires his respectful Regard—
