Sir,

I hope that You have receiv’d the first Tome of the Work of which i have the honour to send You at present the second one. I should be very happy if You did believe that especially the first and third of the treatises, contain’d in this Vol., could be of any service to a man of influence in the united states of America.

I wish ardently that You may not go into another World before the thirteen states of American are wisely settl’d by Your care and Wisdom.
