Bourdeaux 10th. Janry 1780
Dear Sir,

I have had the pleasure to address you from Nantes accompanying Sundry bills on his Excelly. for accepta. which I doubt has reached in due course of post. altho’ I have not been favoured with any of your’s in return.—Intending to depart to morrow from hence for Nantes. the intent of this, Serve merely to beg the favour, to return me the bills in course, directed for me, care of Messrs. Schwr: and Dobrie at Nantes, as I shall have occasion to negotiate them there when due.

There is no kind of new’s here, nor no Arrivals from America.—The Confederacy has been too long out, and if not put back from some disaster, very disagreeable consequence’s may be apprehended.—Pray God! our fears may soon be removed, by the Safe arrival of our friends.—Mr. Adam’s has not got this length as yet, nor no account here of him.
