My   Dear Old Freind

I Take this oppertunity of Enquiring after your health and to Tell you that I am yet in the Land of the Living. The Recollection and Remembrance of the Many happy Days we have Spent together in the Days of real(?) happiness Affords me the highest Pleasure.

Mr. Anstey the Bearer hereof comes over in a Publick Character Countenanced by Mr. Adams and the Minester. Is the Son of a Gentleman of my Acquaintance of the Highest Estimation in this Place and Whose Genius as a Writer I know you have admird. I Inclose you a Specimen Least you may have Forgot. Mr. Ansteys own Merit is Sufficient to Recomend him. If you can Render him any Service You will add to the many Obligations Conferd on your old and Sincere Freind
