Sir,

You are requested by the Council in your Way to Wyoming, to call at Fort Allen, and deliver to the Commanding officer of the Militia now at that Place the Instructions for him that are herewith put into your Hands: And that when you arrive at Wyoming, you will prepare the Minds of the People there, for the good and quiet Reception of the said Militia, by informing the Inhabitants that it is not sent to act offensively against any Person or Persons whatever, but merely to protect the civil officers of government in the Exercise of their respective Functions. Wishing you a good Journey, I am, with much Esteem, Sir, your most obedient and most humble Servant,
