William Temple Franklin to Jonathan Williams, Jr. (unpublished)
Passy 28 Feby. 1781
Dear Jonathan,

I this day forwarded to your House at Nantes, under two Covers, the several Parcels of LOffice & other bills sent me by yourself & Clerk for acceptation. So that at present I have none belonging to you, among the above mentioned I have rejected 2 or 3 for not being Countersigned, without which, they cannot be said to be properly drawn, as it is the Commrs: in the several States who deliver them to those to whom they belong. You will find likewise seven bills cross’d, they having been already accepted.—
