William Temple Franklin to Jonathan Williams, Jr. (unpublished)
Passy 24th Jan 1781
Dear Jonathan

My Grandfather receives this Instant. your favour of the 18th and 20th. He has not at present time to answer them. It is well however you should be informed that your draft in favour of Carrier, for 17014 l.t. ..10s has been accepted. Orders are given for the acceptance and payment of all your other drafts, and you may rely upon it my Grandfather will not let your signature suffer the least dishonour. He is glad to find you discontinue drawing.

I saw your letter yesterday to Mr. Grand. You mention in it having wrote to me, not to forward your L.O. Bills to Nantes but to deliver them to Mr. Grand. This letter has not come to hand, and the bills have been sent you several days past.

Adieu my dear friend, remember me very affectionately to Mrs. Williams.

Mr. Williams
