There is no one of that Character whom I left in Europe, that I think of so often as of you, and with great reason, the Instances of your Friendship to me while I resided there being innumerable, and having made the deepest Impression on my Mind. I am now past 81 Years of Age, and therefore tho’ still in tolerable Health cannot expect to survive much longer. We are at a great Distance, and I can never again have the Pleasure of seeing you. I write this Line then to express my sincere Wishes of Health and Happiness to you and your good Children, and to take leave.
