Dear Sir

A Brother of mine is particularly anxious about the Safe Conveyance of the inclosed Letter to Philadelphia, and has beg’d of me, to request the favour of you, to send it along with your first Dispatches for that Place. If there is no impropriety in it, I know you will be kind enough to comply with his Desire. The Letter he has left open for your Inspection, that you may see there is no Impropriety in the Contents. You will be so obliging as to Seal it, before you forward it.

I was happy to hear you was well, when I call’d at Passy last Sunday.

I have the honour to be most Respectfully Sir Your faithfull and obedient hble Servant.
