I will not trouble Your Excellency with a Longe Narration concerning the matter of my petition: because Your greats Businesses, directed presently to so important a Work are of very much infinite a value, contented also only in a viw words my design Your Excellency plainly to reveal. I am a frenchman, born at Bordeaux of forty five years of age, having already been imployed here Seven Years about as French Correspondent in this Imperial and Royal Privileged Company of Triest and Fiume, to the whole Content of my Superiours. I can Speack English, Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish and Latin if ever Your Excellency shoulde be pleased to grant my Your precious Patronage and Protection for my Improvement, and on the appearance of my little Desert did judge it expedient in some cas or another to lett my appoint for a place of Agent Consul &c. at the Service of the united Americans States, into wathsoever Sea-port of Adriatik Mediterranean or elsewhere: i’ll Shurly indeavour to attempt all means for making my self fit to Yours favourable orders: nevertheless, if Your Excellency wishs to have Some information about my Behaviour, pray humbly, to perform it from Monsieur Jean Jaques Kick Imperial and Royal Consul at Marseille, or from my principals the Directors of the Company here.
