Sir

I went to ameirca tow years ago with recommendatory letters of you, sollicitat’d by Monsieur turgot the minister. I arriv’d in france in the general mercer, and propos’d to remitte myself the letters of wich Mr. and madame besches have given me for you, but my illness stoping my departure for paris, I take the method, for better security’s sake to adress them to Mr turgot, who will be pleased to send them to you.

I am extremely sorry, sir, that I cannot fallow in this moment the strong desire I have to Speak you of Mr and madame besches, and the several marks of Kindenes I received from both during my stay in america. I am with respect sir Your most obedient and humble servant
