Honored Sir

Boston Octr 10th. 1787

I received your kind favour by Mr. Wouters your Friend a Worthy young Man I thank you for the Inclosed plan of Goverment I think under our present Surcmstance the best that Could be formed, but its a question whether the Spirit temper and ginius of the people of America will Comport with it that is Whether it is not too good or too free for So Great a people but a majority I dont in the least doubt and I pray God there may, if not we must be    people I think we have none against it but those that now are and always have been Enemey to the freedom of this Country Torey indeed and they are exerting all there Influnce against it (as you will Se by Our papers there begining as much as they dare God forbid they should Suceed nine tenths of all I am aquaint with are much in favour of it. We find that our Son is arrived at Phila. we all most hartley wish that you and he may Come together this Youth may Serve your body and your wisdem his Mind and I assure you that you boath will meet a most harty Welcom from all Your friends as Well as from Your most dutyfull Nephew and Most Humble Servant
