I am Earnestly requested by a Scotch Captain a prisoner of War upon Parole in this Village to Inclose you the within Letter for his Execy. Doctr: Franklin—& to desire you will favour him with an Answer—or Mention to Me whether he can or Cannot be Exchanged—

I understand I have Some Letters Arrived from America tho’: I have not as yet recd: them I can probably be Enabled to repay Doctr: Franklin what I owe him, but if I sd: not be the first time I Go to Nantes I will deposit in Mr: Williams’s Hands a Set of Bills of Exchange upon My Father in Boston for 25 Louis agreable to desire I have the Honour to be Sr: yr: Most Obed.
