Caleb Whitefoord to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
Sunday morng.
Dear Sir—

If you are determined to visit Mrs. Hewson to day, perhaps it will be as well to go unattended; as you have some negociation in charge—and it is no longer necessary to shew you the way to Cheam. When I call’d on you yesterday, I thought you might probably intend an Excursion to Windsor, Hampton Court, or Richmond; & therefore I offered myself as a Companion, and Guide.—I regret exceedingly, that I have so seldom the Pleasure of seeing you, & am Your’s most heartily

C Whitefoord
