Dear Papa,

I receiv’d your last letter dated the 31 (?) May the 25 Jully I saw the two Master morris’ the 24 May at Geneva but they where [sic] not at Mr Marignac’s pension Because Mme Marignac had not room to receive them with their Preceptor but I saw them a great Many times at their Pension I was great deal Pleas’d of their Company. You recomed me the keeping good company I can’t alwas do it because in classe they are a great many below me with who I must be alwas but wen ever I can I do what you desire you tell me they is [erased: time] since you have not heard from me it is because I have been a little sik But now, I am quitte well, I have left Geneva the 9 Jully and I saw my Dear Grandpapa the 19 of the same mounth. Beleive me for ever your most obidient and Dutiful son
