To Richard Bache (unpublished)
[. 1783]

I am not personally acquainted with Mess. Perrin, who will be the Bearers of this Letter, but I am assured by good Friends that they are very worthy Men and that their Father, one of the first Manufacturers in Lyons, enjoys there the best Character and Repute.

As Mess Perrin are going over to America, with their Fortune and the view of carrying on, from thence, Commercial Connexions with France, they should wish to be distinguished from the Lump of Emigrants who will resort thither and I am glad to do them this Service and the Justice which they are assured to me to deserve.
