Understanding Mr. Jay is to be at Paris in a few days, beg you would be so good as to give him the enclosed, if the Report is not true and that he is not coming to Paris, please to put it into the Post-office for Spain. I am waiting an answer to my last Letter to you, if unpropitious I shall take my Passage on board the Nonesuch for Philadelphia. Of this I shall give Notice to his Excellency—if you forward me any Letters I shall take particular Care of them in mean time believe Dear Sir Yours sincerely
