He is a relation of my Sister in Law the wife of Counsellor Erskine whose Father Mr. Moore of New York had the honour of being your acquaintance. My Brother Thomas writes to me thus about Mr. Bond “He is one of the worthiest and best Men I ever knew in my life and this I may venture to say because I have had the pleasure of his intimate acquaintance for 14 or 15 years past. He is at the English Bar and was reccomended to Government in England by the united Voice of our Merchants trading to America.”
