Dear Niece

you may Prehaps think it unnsesairy fore me to keep an account of Dept & cridit betwen you & me about writing, I will therefore give that up and take this opertunity to tell you what Pleasure I have Receved by hearing Perticularly about yr Famely by Mr Vaughan, who after Speaking very Respectfully of Mr & Mrs Bache (I must not tell you perticulars Least you should think it Flattry) he Speaks as highly of yr Son Benjamin as Mrs Shpten did, and tells me how much Pleasure the Litle wone Gives my Brother, I Injoy the Idea, & Rejoyce with you all, He did not seeme so Reddy to give me a Perticular discription of my Nephew he sade he was not acquainted Will & I tould him what a Litle Stillman who was there at Scool with him some time sade of him That He was a Funney Felow, that he would Play Some Pranks that would make the Master Laugh tho he was Angry with him.

Mr Vaughan Said he beleved he Prity much Ansured that Discription, tell them all I Love them & my Niece Miss Betsey in Perticular. tell her the Pincushon She Sent me is much admiered, but I question if it may Ever be Said of it what I can tell you of the Pockett book you workd for your Grandmother Franklin when you were but Five years old, it was done in crose Stich & was very Beautiful, when my mother Died I gave it to couzen Kezia coffin, who Admiered it, & all ways used it when She went a broad which was a great Deal & when it got Soild She Scoured it with crown Soap new Lind & Bound it & the Last time I Saw her which was Since the Peace She had it in her Pockett but it had been so much worn that She had Lined it with a Peac of fine Scarlet Broad cloath & Darned it do wn on that & New made it up that it Lookd Still quite bright & hansom, tell Betsey hers Shall be keept so as long as I Live.

do writ me & tell me all about Mr Duffeld’s Famely I can never hear any thing of them, all most all the Rest I knew there Some won or other can tell me about, I beleve I forgot to Ask Capt All but he had been so long absent from there that I was not So Perticular as I otherways should have been, Dont you keep up your Acquantance with the Miss Clifftens, I hear they are Still Liveing there Remember my Respects to them to Capt All & to every acquaintance to whome it will be Acceptable. Does Temple Live in the House with you? His Grandfather Informs me He Inclines to Settle in the country if that is His Tast I dont Doubt he will be very Happy but it will not be compleat without a Helpmate, is there any such thing in Agitation if so tell me who it is? where does my Poor Grandson Live for tho my Brother has been so good as to Premit him to come there & Imploy him for the Present I know you cant find Room for him there I hope he is no way Troblesom to you.
