To Benjamin Vaughan (unpublished)
Philada May 17. 1788.
Dear Friend,

I am much pleas’d with the Work of which you have sent me some Specimens. I am about Sorting my Papers, and shall send you what I may think proper for your purpose; of which however you must be Judge. I intended to have written to all my Friends by these Ships, but am prevented by unexpected Hindrances. By the next I hope to write more fully. I continue to enjoy pretty good Health, Thanks to God, and, with Love to your good Mother, Sisters and Brother, am as ever, My dear Friend, Yours most affectionately
