I beg the honour of his protection towards the Minister for a dispensation of the Campanges which are required to Command as Captn. aboard the French Merchand Men. I also take the Liberty to lay before his Excellency a Certificate which proves my Capacity. You can be very servisable to me in this affair. I proffit therefore of this opportunity to recommend it to you beging you will allso acquaint me with the Success, and you will oblige me for ever. If I can be any ways servisable to you you will find me allways ready and proud in the excecution of your Commands.
