Newington-Green June 5 1785
Dear Sir

In a letter which I Sent you by the post last thursday I Stated to you the Sad distress of Mrs. Bourne, the wife of Mr. Bourne, a Broker in London who four years ago eloped from his family, and after having been in America is Supposed now to be at Paris. The Bearer of this, Mr. Brockton, is the Brother in law of Mrs. Bourne. From compassion to Mrs. Bourne but very incoveniently to himself he has undertaken to go to Paris to enquire after, and if possible, to find out Mr. Bourne. I know I can rely so far on your goodness as to request that you would give him any information or assistance that m[a]y happen to be in your power. Mr. Bingham has been so kind as to give Mr. Brockton a letter of recommendation to Mr. Crauford. With every good wish, I am, my Dear Friend most affectionately Yours
