Dear Sir

I have been very much Indisposed since I saw you with a Violent Cold, but am getting better M de Castries desired me to make a Memorial of my Claim on the Prizemoney belonging to Commodore Jones’s squadron. Be so kind to inform me from your Grandfather, whether I may set forth in the Memorial that the Expences of the Expedition were to be paid by the Court of France.—I heard some days ago that the Attachment laid on the Alliances prize money by Forsters of Bordeaux was order’d to be discharged, inform me how the matter stands, to Oblige, Dear Sir Your Very Obedt.
