I have recd. your Favr. 30 May. We have been these two months writing about a quid pro quo. I hope by this time we shall be understood each by the other. It is not french Prisoners, but Persons who escape from England and claim support that I have so often written about, in short it is my Letter of 26 March that I want answer to. The Copy you sent me is of one the original of which has been long since recd.

I inclose you a draft on M. Grand for the Balance of your account say 220:16: pray send Mr Robesons Rect. or an order on him which may justify the payment. I am yours in haste

Robesons man Montague has given him the Slip and is in Paris. The Fellow is a Rascal and a Theif, if you can secure him pray do it without Loss of Time and I will be answerable.
