My dear Friend,

Whom, two or three years ago I readdressed in French by Dr. Amyat receives my ceaseless most affectionate regards for himself, and jusseste felicitaions to Dr. Franklin; by John Paterson Esquire, Partner of the House of William Herries G Keith and Company of Ostend.

This Gentleman is consequently a Friend of Jem Drummond your schoolfellow; who, after ten years residence in Spain, at Barcelonas; is becoming a Right-Hand to Sir Robert Herries at London. The said Jem sends with mine warmest sentiments of growing esteem.

My English Martial is appeared last year. My Latin Martialis appears now, with The Hypercodic. If you can do this Gentleman a pleasure, you do it, Sir, to the Doctors and your humblest servant
