Most Honourable Sir

With Great joy I whas Informed that your Excellence being in perfect Health arived at Philadelphia after having made a Great Distance ways from france to these Contrie as your Excellence being of a old age…and further I whas Sensibly Rejoiced of hearing that your Excellece whas Elected as our President and Commander In Chief of the Commonwealth of Pennsilvania as your Excellence Well merit as a Great friend to our Contrie.…These is therefore my Duty to Congratull his Excellence and I wish Great joy to your Excellence…and I pray the almighty God that he will Endue your Excellence plenteably with heavenly gifts and Enrich with   heavenly Grace and prosper your Excellence with all happiness and joy and felicity and Glory in heaven…that is my heartily wish to your Excellence…and I pray to Excuse me for the Trouble that macke to your Excellence with the fue Lines but I Thought it whas my Duty to Congratule his Excellence to his offices as our father and as I am an old friend and acquaintance from the first Indian war as one of the offirees when we Build the fort Allen…God Bless your Excellence and Preserve your Excellence in perfect Health and happiness Liek he Did to moses. And I am with Great Regard and Esteem your Excellence most obedient and humble Servant
