Much Honoured Sir

I wrote to you by the Honble. Mr. Laurens. If you have not yet Received it I now Again offer you my Congratulations on the Glorious Liberty and Independance of your Country. wherein you your Self has had So Great a hand, may the Lord who has been your helper be your Long Preserver to See Peace and Prosperity Establish and take Deep Root in America. I have a Great Desire to go to America as I know the Linnen Manufactory in all its Branches from The Seed to the Needle which if Proppaly Establishd wou’d be usefull to Both Northern and Southern Provinces the Plans I have by me if I coud be Enabled to get there. I have here Sufferd the Loss of all worldly Advantages. by my Attachment to America and have Sufferd Long. I have been the Father of Twenty one Children in Lawfull Wedloch the Eldest of which has been an Officer in the American Marine Service the five youngest I have Named after the Worthys of America Washington Franklin Laurens. &cc. My Great Desire is to be Enabled to Provide for them as well as to be Serviceable to America where I wish to Resign my Breath and Lay my Bones among the People not now to be Equeald among the Nations of the Earth. Your answer to this with your Advice will Confer A Lasting Obligation Honoured Sir on your most humble Servant
